Happy Child Life Rescue is an orchestra that worships God with its best music.

Everyone plays their instrument, everyone does their part and the result is good, perfect and pleasant!

In the year 2020, in mid-April, in the city of Itapetininga-SP, we began to understand what God’s will was; when we found a child, he was playing with two bricks, a piece of a grill and some pebbles on top of the grill where the way he behaved caught my attention, we approached and asked him what his name was and what he was playing with, he quickly replied: “William, I’m making barbecue, I’m hungry!”

The commotion took over us, I asked where he lived and he responded by pointing with his finger to the house in front where he was, I took his small hand and clapped at the door of the house, where a young woman soon came out with a child smaller than Willian in size. In her arms the child was crying a lot and the mother hadn’t slept well; There it was visible that he was using drugs. Shaken, I asked to take the children to Sister Lídia’s house who lived nearby, she agreed, there he was welcomed and fed, all of this really affected me and we began to pray.

The following week I returned to sister Lídia’s house, and found Willian eating there. As soon as I looked into the backyard of our sister’s house and saw a wood stove, that vision was promising that we as a church could do more and better.

Seeing the great need, the Happy Child Rescue Lives Project was created. We started right there making pasta and sausages made on the wood stove and delivering lunch boxes one day a week. The difficulty was so great, we didn’t have a car, we bought lunch boxes and all the supplies with my husband’s motorcycle; I remember one time that God spoke to me on the back of this motorcycle in the middle of the rain, reassuring me “that this project will still have a car, kombi and bus” when I heard God speak, I couldn’t contain my tears.

Many children gathered, they were so happy with that simple donation, they started to gather more and more with such hunger that we started to serve breakfast, we bought bread and today God provided the Paulispan company that donates bread to us daily . God, always faithful to his word, says: “Be faithful over a little, as I will make you ruler over many things” (MT 25/21)

The need of a child, such an innocent being, moves the hands of God.

Everything happened very quickly, God’s purpose went beyond food, so we rented a first place to host the project located at Rua Miguel Pedro dos Santos Terra, no. 142, Vila Regina, Itapetininga-SP and with a lot of dedication we started working on Monday to Monday feeding, evangelizing and educating.

As things happened and the project grew, we were able to see the great needs and needs of the children, with this the experiences and difficulties were also exposed: sexual abuse, hunger, domestic violence, lack of hygiene, scarcity, vulnerability and joining the world of drugs.

Our work increasingly took shape through the needs of the little ones, on the other hand, in the United States women of prayer and fear pray, tithe and present the Rescue of Lives Project, as everything happened there is no doubt that God is happy with this work after all: “the joy of the Lord is our strength” (NE 8/10)

In the year 2022, the Presbyterian church through the reverend pastor Rafael Cobalt got to know our work, after noticing that the place where it was a house with two bedrooms and a garage was already small, they gave us the space for our second unit located on Rua Cristóvão Colombo, no. 544, Vila Mazzei, Itapetininga-SP.

The Happy Child Rescue of Lives project is maintained by tithe payers, providers and partners who, in addition to maintaining project expenses, encourage us to continue doing good, after all together we are stronger. In addition to the children already registered, this shelter feeds all children who need it; They already know that the Criança Feliz Live Rescue Project is mainly a place of great welcome and love.

Today we serve around 200 needy children every week who are being fed, evangelized and educated. The church that started this work is responsible for so many lives to be reached through this project, after all “Without God, nothing that was done would be done” ( João15/5)
